At what age did you start using "real" toothpaste with DC?

Re: "real" toothpaste?
My pediatric dentist had me start using flouride toothpaste with my DS at 3. We use the most teeny, tiny amount.

My ped told me ONLY when they know how to spit it out so only time will tell.

Re: "real" toothpaste?
Around 3 we started using the floride one.
Logan spits it out and then swishes and spits after brushing to make sure he doesn't swallow it.

It's always amazing to me how you can get completely opposite opinions from pediatric doctors. It's no wonder as parents we're crazy and confused!

Re: "real" toothpaste?
DS was 2.5 when we started using flouride toothpaste.
He knows to spit but will occassionally swallow a bit by accident.
