Real Christmas tree and infants

DD's crib is in our living room, that is the only room it fits in. It is also the only room we can put a tree. Do you think its bad to have her in an enclosed space with a real tree? I know that sounds wacky and paranoid - I just remember the smell being really overwhelming last year - especially when we first got it. What do you think?

I don't know if the smell is a big deal or not....but I would worry about having a fire hazard so close to where she was sleeping. I am crazy about that kind of stuff.

I''m getting a real tree, always have, we cut our down (this way its fresh less potential for a fire). I think its fine to have a real tree, I don't see it being a problem.

A women I used to work with couldn't put up a real tree because her son was allergic to it- that's the only thing I can think of that may be a potential problem.

Re: Real Christmas tree and infants

It can cause allergies. I wouldn't put it where she sleeps. Sorry.
