Ready to b!tch slap MIL
She thinks that because the doctors are leaning toward a c-section that I should have it early. Why early? Because she's a teacher and wants time to spend with her grandchild before starting the school year.  Sure lady, don't worry about the health of the baby. Just let me get the baby out now to make you happy. 
She brought it up once to DH, then asked me over the phone yesterday to tell the doctors I want it early. She's visiting on Wednesday to see our new place, and I swear if she brings it up to my face, I might take her down!
Don't get me wrong, I love my MIL. But on this, I want to hit her.

why not tell her that next time around you'll try and time your ovulation just a teensy bit earlier, so as to revolve your entire pregnancy and birth around her schedule... but this one is coming out when HE and HIS PARENTS want!

Your MIL is so wrong. I am also finding that just because I am having a C-section, people think I should be picky about the date and time, perhaps because THEY want something specific. Neither they nor I would have any choice if I were to deliver naturally. Yet somehow, when babies are delivered naturally, the people who want to visit deal with whatever scheduling inconveniences there are. If they can do it in that situation, they have to suck it up and do the same if you have a C-section!!!!
I am starting to tell people that when I deliver depends only on when my doctor will be there with a newly sharpened knife in his hand. Then, I go into all kinds of detail about why I do not want to be cut with a dull knife. I leave people speechless but I do have a point!!!

ok, NOW i've heard EVERYTHING. sometimes people (even those we love) just have NO CLUE.
ETA: not quite as bad, but this made me think about a conversation i had with my niece yesterday while she was in a LIMO on her way to TUSCANY. i asked her if she was excited about her trip, and she was like, "EH, whatever". ummm... hello... i am on BEDREST... people just don't think.

 They really don't think sometimes when they open their mouths. They are probably just SO excited by all of this that thinking and common sense are gone!

that baby needs to grow even though it will be big.. My hairdresser told me yesterday that she had a 10 pd baby and she did not have a c section
tell the MIL to back off the doctors know what they are doing!
