reading opk strips...help!
so I've never taken an OPK before...I think this is a negative reading but I'm not sure because I know when my HPT looked like this it was a BFP...so just wondering...does the line always come out dark when ur ovulating? or does it gradually get darker as it would with a HPT until you peak?

Re: reading opk strips...help!
if its a line OPK the "test" line should be as dark or darker than the control line
if it is, then its positive

Re: reading opk strips...help!
I found the HPT/OPK gallery on fertility friend really helpful to see pictures especially the ovulation series.

Re: reading opk strips...help!
LH is synthesized in the morning so it shows up in your urine in the afternoon. That is why they recommend testing in the afternoon after holding your urine and not drinking a lot. However, in many people the surge can be detected for a while. I know the clearblue easy digital opks say you can use FMU.
This month I had a + at 8pm on CD19, + CD 20 with FMU and 8 pm, and then + CD21 in the AM only.
