RE timing

I have my first appt with an RE on Nov 8th. It will be CD29 for me. I have already had bloodwork and DH has had a SA. I am assuming they will run all tests again.

I was wondering about how long it took to start treatment or meds? Just want to know what to expect.

Re: RE timing

Since you already know you have PCOS, they'll probably start you on metformin asap and wait for CD3 for testing. If your cycles arent regular, they might give you Provera to bring on AF.
Make sure you bring all your records from your GYN, including bloodwork so they can see what's been done before, then they can decide whether they need to run more tests. GL!

Re: RE timing

I saw an RE the beginning of this month and brought all my records including HSG & SA plus a glucose tolerance test...I was waiting for AF anyway so they did an ultrasound and bloodwork...I also have PCOS but I am not insulin resistant so metformin was not necessary.

Have you had an HSG test and your DH a SA? Your RE may order these as well as bloodwork. I think your IF treatment/diagnosis would depend on all the tests + history.

Good luck !!!

Thanks girls! I have not gone for and HSG but DH did go for an SA. His morphology was slightly low but I don't know what the percentage was.
