I work in downtown Flushing --Chinatown! How do you guys feel about dumplings?  I could bring a bunch of different ones since not everyone eats pork/shellfish...

I gave it some more thought, and my pasta salad and corn salad are much better BBQ/picnic sides. So, I am going to make either balsamic grilled vegetables or string bean salad instead (yes, I'm indecisive  )

Same here.. though monthly is great too!! I'm so glad we started doing these!!
I feel like a much more sane woman when I focus on the gtg next week rather than the slip of bcp I have sitting next to me!!

Thank you sooo much for offering but I think I'm good with chairs! My couch can seat 6.. I have 6 dining room chairs, and then I have 4 chairs in the kitchen. I haven't figure out how I will configure it all that night... figured I'd just put all the chairs in the living room, but we'll figure it out  I hope my little girlie is in a friendly mood so you all could meet the REAL Pennycat!

it was too easy for me to miss that info

I tried following the thread but I'm totally confused.
It looks like Pennycat is hosting at her house but we are all bringing food. What kind of food? Just apps and sides/salads or are we bringing main dishes too?
I can make a shepard's pie but if it's just apps, then I can bring a cheese and crackers platter and maybe bruchetta or something.

Sorry everyone!! I got caught up in the thread and didn't realize I never made it clear in the original post. The plan is now to have the GTG at my house...... as far as food, I'm leaving that open to whatever everyone wants to bring... if you want to bring an appetizer that's fine... main dish is fine .... dessert is fine..... We'll just have a mix of whatever everyone wants to bring. So far it seems like a really nice variety! I'm thinking of making some kind of chicken dish but I'm not sure yet. I'm really looking forward to this!!!!!!!

I just want to say last night I kept falling asleep and waking up from recurrent dreams... maybe like 3 or 4 times... and they all were about me being out and not making it home in time for my GTG! In one of my dreams I was at a movie and realized it was 11pm and I realized I was missing it! In all my dreams though, the GTG went on without me at MY house and everyone still had a great time!!
I think all this IVF stress is getting to me!!
