Random crib question...

So we just lowered the crib from the highest setting to the lowest (skipped the middle...figured why go through the trouble a 2nd time)

Now the crib looks completely bare because the skirt came off bc the mattress is so low... We don't have a bumper... So it's really just the sheet and bars... Like the poor thing is in a jail cell... What items do you guys use in the crib at this stage? Is this how it's supposed to be and it just looks odd to me bc its new?

Yep . I felt the same way. I added bumpers and also got used to it.

Re: Random crib question...

We have the comforter hanging next to the crib that goes with the theme, but I know what you mean. When we first lowered it to the lowest it seemed to empty.
Now he's got lots of stuffed animals and stuff in his crib at 18 months so looks cute. We need used the bumpers for either boys. Never had any issues and I feel it safer without them.

Yup. I thought the same thing. We skipped the second level too and it made me sad that it looked so plain. You get used to it though. In the day, when DD is not in the crib, I hang the quilt that came with her set over the railing to make it look a littl nicer.

We had to buy the bumper/pad that ties to the top of the crib because they were chewing on it.
I bought pink/brown and blue/brown polka dots so it added a little something.

I'm thinking of adding a bumper because I always find her binky on the floor and her arms and legs through the bars Chat Icon

Random crib question...

I left the bed skirt on. Its gathered on the floor but bc its a silk material it doesnt look bad. I can't wait to add a bumper, she is always banging herself against the rails!

I added a bumper when my kids started to sit, roll, and pull up to stand. They were knocking their heads hard against the crib.

You will get used to the look of no skirt either way.

I pulled the skirt up a bit and bunched it under the mattress so the edge hit the floor. It's a PITA to fix whenever I change the sheets but worth it. I have 2 bumpers on DS's crib on the sides that are by the walls so nothing falls through and onto the floor.
