Quit Smoking?
Hey girls,
Did any of you quit smoking right before starting your TTC?
This is our first month trying...I only finished AF on Monday. DH and I  last night so I had my last smoke this morning. I'm scared my 12 years of smoking is going to make TTC that much longer. I'm sure we won't get pregnant this month...with smoking and I just finished BC right before my AF. But I hope it doesn't take too long!
So any experience with quitting smoking around TTC would help...it's a great reason to quit although I would LOVE to have one I know it's no good if we by some miracle get pregnant...

There are some people who get pregnant before they quit.
I quit right before TTC too, and this has been our 7month trying. To be honest I have cheated a few times esp when I have AF bc it's hard to give something up to achieve a goal and fail each time

Thank you! My sister is an OB and she just keeps telling me to quit before I become pregnant. She says it's harder for you to get pregnant if you are smoking still (I'm sure one every now and then is ok). I'm just CRAVING a cig SO badly but just keep thinking..."baby, baby, baby"...hoping I want one bad enough, my cravings stop and my eggs listen!

i knew someone who tried for 6 months, quit, and got pregnant the next time. . obv have no idea if that did it but she swears she thinks it was. . I think it's great you quit and hope you stick to it!

I quit smoking about a month ago. I was on and off smoking for the last year as I was TTC because I would get frustrated if it didnt happen and then say eff it and light up but I am ok for now. Its a struggle especially when that was my biggest vice. Smokin is definitley bad for fertility and especially for DH its a big factor. Stay strong and give you body a chance to regulate after quitting.

Quit Smoking?
I'm 3 weeks off cigs and I am using Wellbutrin. It's taken about 2 months to kick in, but so far so good! I've lost 15 lbs and have no cravings at all. My OB said I will come off it when I get my BFP.

I quit about a minute after I got a positive pregnancy test. I don't recall being told that it would affect TTC.

Me too!!
The night before I took the test and it was positive was a rough night and I smoked many many cigs.
