Quick Question...11 DPO? Early? Dollar Tree or EPT?
Ok I am a POAS addict. It is my first true 2ww.
So...now that I am nearing 11, 12 dpo should I use the digital? I get BFN on the others with lines...so am I out?

that is still early, you aren't out yet, but digitals arent as sensitive so I'd wait another 2 days before testing with one

I think people confirm with a digital because it says "pregnant" or "not pregnant" and very clear, but it is less sensitive, so if you get a BFP then you are definitely pregnant. a lot of people take a line test first because they are cheaper and more sensitive but confirm with a digital because it's a yes or no result, less ambiguous

Its my understandin (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that u confirm with digital because they aren't as sensitive (I.e. Have to wait longer before u test til levels in urine are higher). For example the line tests have different shades the lines can be (light, faint, dark) where digital only 2 options (yes or no)

the sensitivity of all tests vary greatly between the brands and types of tests. there are some digitals that are more sensitive than a line test and some line tests which are more sensitive than digital tests.
google sensitive hpt charts... buy the ones with the lowest miu's... those are the most sensitive.
standard is about 50 - 75 miu... but a good sensitive one could detect 10 - 25 miu... and they do come in both line and digital.

This is what I thought too. I always thoughts digitals were more sensitive and this is why they were used to confirm. Guess I was wrong

def use a line test, preferably FRER.
if you are getting BFNs with line tests theres very little chance of a BFP with a digitial since it requires more HCG in your urine.

With my DS I took a FRER test first and got barely any line at all (you had to squint to see it), I then followed it up with a digital and got a BFP within a minute. So for me the digital was more accurate!!!

no such thing as a false positive
thanks, i still bought another three pack of first response to check with for the next three mornings, then the results of my blood test will be in.
