Quick question about credit cards/ credit reports
I have a question about this, a coworker of mine is going through a separation, she wants to get a credit card, god forbid she can't access her account, however, doesn't want the soon to be ex to know she has it. Won't this show up on his credit report too because they are married? Like DH and I have a joint card, I opened it in my name long before we were married, then, I added him as a user, as the user t shows up on his credit report... I told her I think it would show and he could find out but I'm not too sure?

No. It would only show up if she added him to it which I assume she would not.
Cards are not automatically issued as joint accounts because you're married.

It will show up on HER credit report, not his.

Oh wow. Thanks I'll let her know, that's crazy. I really thought when you are married, everything is together, I feel like I'm so not educated sometimes! I just hope this goes quickly and smoothly. Her soon to be ex is a real piece of work and isn't going to make this easy for her by any means
