Quick - need invite etiquette help
Jake's birthday party is going to be at a kiddie place - is it rude that I am not inviting people without children? Should I send an invite anyway?

I don't think so...it sounds like a kids party. What about having a little cake at your place for those who you would have invited if they had kids?

If you're not inviting them, I wouldn't send them an invite.

Re: Quick - need invite etiquette help
I think it depends on what kind of party.
I'm having a party at a movie theater. It's a kid's movie but people without kids would see the movie also so I invited them, If it was at Chuck E. Cheese, I would invite them because there is plenty of time to socialize.
If it was a build-a-bear type of thing, I probably wouldn't ask them.
What is the relationship of the people you're not inviting? Aunts/uncles? Cousins? Friends?

I'm only concerned about a couple of aunts on DHs side with no kids... well not no kids, they are grandparents already and their grandchildren are invited...

So you're inviting their grandkids but not them? I think you're going to cause a riot. I would invite them or at least have them over for cake afterwards.

ITA. These things can be so messy, which is why I have a separate family party aside from the kiddie parties.
