Questions for young moms

Do you feel sometimes others look at you wierd when you are with your dd... or worse they say ohhh you had a baby SO YOUNG WHY??? I have gotten that question a couple of times and never know what to say??

Also I know a lot of my friends are not married or have children. Do you sometimes feel different now that you have children??

LOL...I have had solicitors come to my front door and ask if my parents were home Chat Icon Chat Icon

When I first got pregnant, people made comments, "oh your so young" or "you just got married, you should have waited." I tell people now b/c the questions aggravates me, I dont want to be 80 when my kids is graduating college...I want to be able to see my kids graduate from college, get married, have kids and enjoy my grandkids like my parents are and like my grandparents did.

Re: Questions for young moms

I get it a lot (not as much as I used to). I will be 30 this year but DS is 2 1/2 and when he was a newborn I was constantly getting looks as though I was a teenage mom. Although almost 30 I can pass for early 20's and without makeup I look like a total kid.

No one ever asked me "why?" so I'm not sure how i would react to that.

I always corrected them and said "i'm not as young as I look, thanks!"

I am 22 years old and 28 weeks pregnant...have been married for a year and a half, and actually tried to have this baby. People give me dirty looks, ask if this was planned, have asked me if I plan on keeping the baby, or just give me this I feel sorry for you look..

I had my son when I was 25, and my daughter when I was 26... plus, I look younger than my age, so people look at me all the time. No one in our families, or friends has ever made a comment, its more work people or strangers. Chat Icon

I am not a young mom, but if it's any consolation, people look at you when you are older too.
