Re: Question regarding Hunger

Yep, in the beginning it is very normal. You should actually TRY to eat small amounts every two hours (even keep crackers near your bed) to avoid MSChat Icon .

Re: Question regarding Hunger

Yes. I'll have bouts of hunger where I feel like I MUST eat immediately or else. I'm 10 weeks. I eat breakfast, then a snack later, then lunch, then a late afternoon snack, then dinner, and usually something before I go to bed. I don't eat in the middle of the night, but when I get up to go to the bathroom, I usually chug some water or apple juice.

Re: Question regarding Hunger

Yes. I always have snacks with me b/c I get hungry every few hours. Several times throughout the first trimester, I woke up in the middle of the night b/c I was hungry. I couldn't fall back asleep unless I ate something.

Re: Question regarding Hunger

It will eventually taper off, but then it will come back in spurts throughout your pregnancy.

I'm 18 weeks now. I rarely wake up in the middle of the night now b/c of hunger (I still wake up every night though Chat Icon ). I still get hungry every few hours during the day. Just keep a lot of small snacks with you.

Re: Question regarding Hunger

I almost passed out in one of my bosses offices from hunger in my first trimester because I didn't realize I needed to eat more often. That's why she found out I was pg at 7 weeks... I was SO HUNGRY it was unreal... OMG I tortured DH. It tapered off by the second trimester.

What worked for me was always having a piece of fruit or a granola bar in my bag for emergencies.

Re: Question regarding Hunger

I am about as far along as you and i have the same thing occuring.

I eat every two hours. I eat small meals!

I eat at 9, 11, 1, 3 and then 6 for dinner. and then at 7 or 8 i usually have a little snack.

what i mean about meals is- i have a fruit or an apple sauce as a snack or an in between meal, just so i dont get overly hungry.

Re: Question regarding Hunger

In the first trimester I ate about every 2-3 hours from 9am-9pm, and would often wake up starving in the middle of the night. I had bad insomnia from about 2am-5am, and by 5am had to have small something (handful of cereal, piece of bread, etc) before i could fall back asleep. My girlfriend kept a cereal box by the bed because she would wake up so hungry during the night.

Re: Question regarding Hunger

I eat every few hours too, even if it is just a snack. And for meals I really can't eat a full dinner.....I get full too quick.

YES!!! WELCOME TO MY WORLD!!

I am starving all the time -- I just graze and eat a little bit every 1/2 hour or so. Do you get bad m/s if you don't eat?

Re: Question regarding Hunger

OMG it's insane! I feel like I could eat a planet.

My Dr said 6 small meals a day - that's what I try for.

I'm about 8 wks.
