Question re: cleaning

How do you ladies do it?

I have no help..it is all on me and I have no energy plus a 13 month old and I work.

What cleaning gets done at night and what do you do on weekends?

Re: Question re: cleaning

We hired someone to come in every 2 week a few months ago. It is the best investment. I hope we can keep it up after I deliver. With an almost 3 year old and a newborn I can't imagine it being any easier than it was (or wasn't) then. Is that a possibility for you?

I still have to straighten up, do the laundry, dishes, etc. but at least the big stuff (bathrooms, floors, etc.) are done.

Re: Question re: cleaning

I have a cleaning lady also. I work almost 50 hours a week and am out of the house for 65 including my commute so there is no way I could do it all right now. I still do laundry, change the beds, make dinner, clean up, etc.

Best money I have ever spent!

I really have to talk to my DH but that would be great if I can hire someone. That would make it soo much easier for me!!

Re: Question re: cleaning

I just recently convinced DH to have someone come in and do a major cleaning every other week so that all I need to do is light cleaning on the off weeks. Greatest thing ever. I work alot of hours and spend whatever time I can with DD and when she goes to bed I go to bed. There's no way I would be able to get it all done when there's a newborn and a 2.5 year old.

Re: Question re: cleaning

I do everything except mop. I make DH mop bc everything else just tires me out. I now split it. I do in depth bathroom cleaning during the week and just cleaning, laundry, fixing up the rest of the house on weekends.

Re: Question re: cleaning

I try to do a little each morning before I go to work (when I feel the best and have the most energy) and a little after work each night. I do the major cleaning on Sun morning. It takes me so much longer now but I take breaks and ask DH for help if I need it. Once I get further along, I'll hire a cleaning person to come twice a month.

Re: Question re: cleaning

I have a cleaning lady...she is my angel!

She comes every two weeks and does some ironing as well. The BEST investment! I really want to up to every week,.....we'lll see once baby is here if it's financially viable.

In between I vacuum and swiffer...other light cleaning as necessary. DH does laundry.

Re: Question re: cleaning

I really want to hire someone to at least come in once and do a deep clean before DS arrives. I can't get in to some of the positions I need to, LOL.
