I guess I am in the minority.....I got used to it pretty fast.
Me too- transitioned right over. And now that it's been 5 years- it feels like it has been my name my whole life. I don't even associate myself with my old name!

Re: Question for women who took hubands name
I changed mine the day we got home from the HM.... it's been 3 weeks since the wedding, and I'm pretty used to it already. My signature is not the prettiest, but i sign it about 10 times a day at work.

Re: Question for women who took hubands name
It took a few years. I was shocked at year 5 when I ran across a bad with my maiden name on it & it looked strange to me.

Re: Question for women who took hubands name
Took a little while to get used to...Now it's weird to see my maiden name but I still use it at places like my hair salon and the place I get my facials at...that is the name they know my by and it's nice to keep it in some places
