Question for those with anterior placentas
If you were told that your placenta was anterior, did it move at any point? I seem to remember when my doctor told me mine was anterior, that he said as it gets later in the pregnancy, it has a tendency to move up and out of the way, but I can't totally remember. I'm almost 27 weeks and basically all the movement I have felt so far has been off to the left side, where I was told the baby's feet are. Last night and this morning, I have felt a lot of different movement than usual, more like stretching and repositioning. Then in the past few hours, I have noticed a few movements right in the center of my belly, which I never felt before because the placenta was in the way. So I'm wondering if maybe it moved?

Re: Question for those with anterior placentas
yes your anterior placenta can move upwards. i was told the same thing.. and i read it as well.
idk if mine did move totally out of the way or not... but i lean towards saying it didn't move.
however, as the baby gets larger and the movements stronger you will feel things in places you couldn't before due to the placenta...even if the placenta is still anterior.
I had movement issues throughout my pregnancy, up until the very end too. all due to the anterior placenta. most movements i felt were around the outer area of the placenta. BUT there were times that i felt movements where the placenta was... I'm assuming that's when she was really rocking out hardcore in there!!!

Re: Question for those with anterior placentas
Mine never moved. Even if it doesn't move as the baby gets stronger you will feel movement right through it.
Now I'm preg with #2 and have a posterior placenta- sooo different. I've been feeling this baby since like 15/16 weeks. At 28 weeks it is about as strong as it was at 38 weeks with DS.
