Question for those who were registered at Macys...

Would you care if someone bought things from a different store and called in to Macys to have the items removed from your registry?

BBB sells the same stuff that I want to buy, but it's $25 less, plus I can still use the 20% off coupon...

I wouldn't mind - but I don't think the store will take it off the registry if it was not purchased in their store. I know the BBB will not take an item off a registry unless you have a reciept from BBB.

it wouldn't matter to me where my presents came from! Chat Icon i'm not sure - will macy's remove something from a registry if you call it in? i'm thinking they want it to be bought from their storeChat Icon but worst case, you get 2 of something - return one and get something else you like. that happened to me with something, it didn't bother me in the least.

This happened with me also. I am all for people getting deals so I was happy that our friends/family were able to get something for at a lower cost.

If it's for a shower gift, maybe you could ask the FH to take the item off the registry so it won't double up.

I would actually be happy that they were able to get the item for a cheaper price.

Re: Question for those who were registered at Macys...

someone did this for my registry (not at macy's) and then didn't give us the item -- gave us something else. So the item was removed but we never got it....So annoying! I only found out months later when I called to check why things weren't on the registry anymore but we never received them...to make sure there weren't shipping problems...

I agree...they can buy from wherever the heck they want BUT don't get Macys involved in changing my registry and they shouldn't be allowed to do that anyway

If my mom said that to me thats cool...just wouldn't want the guest to have free reign to call Macys
