question for those that bled early on

this might be a personal question, but i am trying to stay hopeful. im not bleeding red blood, its more of a dark brown, kinda looks like gravy (sorry way TMI), and its not a lot. I thought it was happening the same as last time, but now its been almost 4 hours, and it hasnt increased in flow.
Did this happen to anyone? Can anyone share a story to give me a little hope?
TIA...

Re: question for those that bled early on

Yes. It happened to me- alot. From week 4 until about 2 weeks ago (I am 12w today) We are fine, but on restriction & pelvic rest. 2 things happened with me. First, I had a cyst that ruptured (a cyst can form at implantation). Second there is a blood sac thing (there was a way better explanation of this in a post a few weeks ago) that sits behind your uterus. If you exert too much effort, or even not, it can rub & release some blood.

There are a ton of things that can cause bleeding throughout a pregnancy. I also had a nurse in the ER tell me that women over 30 are twice as likely to have unexplained bleeding during their pregnancies.

It happened to me as well. The doctor told me that as long as it stays brown, its perfectly normal. Chat Icon

Yes, I was put on bed rest for about 4 days. The blood turned bright red after about an hour and lasted about 3 days. Had a sono then and the baby was fine! So it could be ok.... Your're in my thoughts and prayers. Id get off my feet and lay down ASAP.

Re: question for those that bled early on

im just praying so hard that im ok. Im not up and walking around, i sit at a desk for the most part, so im going to stay at work. Im supposed to bartend tonight and i think im going to call in so i dont have to be on my feet for 8 hours. Its to early for them to see anything on a sono, right, if its still in there, im only 4 weeks 1 day.

Re: question for those that bled early on

I would definitely NOT bartend tonight. Too much running around & twisting.
Def rest as much as you can tonight & call the Dr to see what they say.

Happened to me too -- Dr. told me NO SEX and to take it easy. If it had lasted more than one day I would have gone on bed rest.

Re: question for those that bled early on

I bled for most of my first trimester. I would fill a pantyliner with brown spotting everyday. They never figured out what caused it but I'm now 40+ weeks, so I guess it was normal for me.

I was put on modified bedrest and pelvic bedrest (no exercise, no housecleaning, no lifting anything heavier than a gallon of milk, no s e x, stay off feet as much as possible, etc.)

I hope that's what you are experiencing!! You are in my prayersChat Icon

Re: question for those that bled early on

I had that colored bleeding for about 3 months...at about 2 months I went to nyc and gushed bright red and had to go by ambulance to the hospital---I was like ok---emotionally disconnect--I figured I was losing the babies or one baby.
Long story short---it was ok,. they found 2 heartbeats...

that early on u do not see the placenta so therefor, u cannot diagnose low-lying placenta which I had..

I originally had three sacs and two heartbeats--one sac was either going to absorb or come out---this added to my bleeding...
#3---I had a blood sac next to one twin and that had to absorb or come out---so..........
I am sure all of these contributed..and in the end everytihng was ok.
I bled for a good three months and it was ok.
if...it goes red--stays red--is coming with cramping--it might be a diff story...
I would call the doc because they might want u on progesterone suppositories...
also....
I used to bartend--and I know---u should not be on your feet when u are bleeding for 8 hours--so i really hope u called in.
Please...take it easy--otherwise u will be on bedrest.
a bar is a hard place to be pregnant.

hugs to u..
I just wanted to share with u all that it can be and it can still be ok.
