Question for moms-to-be.....
How many months did it take for people to conceive?
How about with the use of the clearblue easy fertility monitor??? Just curious, and wondering when I should get nervous. Why does it seem like everyone I know got pregnant in the 1st month of trying with the CBEFM?? Please help. Thanks!!

Re: Question for moms-to-be.....
For this pregnancy (my second), I had been using the CBE FM to track my cycles for several months, and then once we decided we were ready, it was like the second month that we got PG.

Thanks, hearing these responses really helps.
Do you mind me asking why you had been using the fertility monitor a few months in advance? Those sticks are pricey! Is that why you think it worked by your second cycle using it? So your peak days were accurate. Thanks SO much!

With Alex we got pg on the 2nd try. We started trying for #2, 2 cycles ago and so far nothing. I am going to try OPKs this month.

Re: Question for moms-to-be.....
A friend of mine suggested I go to a Dr. in 3 months if I don't get pregnant using the CBEFM, bec it is so accurate. What do you guys think? I am 32 years old and I am trying for my first. Thanks!!

Re: Question for moms-to-be.....
I had some ovulation issues. I started in May- but then I also had found out about cystic fibrosis that runs in my family- so I got tested before trying in June. So 9 months.

Yes, it was very pricey but I got the testing sticks much cheaper off ebay. I had very irregular cycles and was not ovulating prior to getting PG with my first, so when we wanted to get PG with #2, I wanted to see how my cycles were fairing, and more importantly, make sure I was ovulating.

Re: Question for moms-to-be.....
It took us one month- but I tracked my ovulation cycle with an ovulation calendar for 5 months before we started.

one month - I didn't even get to the "tracking" part. We were just not being so careful. I was going to start temping but got my BFP.

Fist time 2 months of charting, second time a few months and then I bought the CBEFM and got it the first try with that. The best money I ever spent!

Re: Question for moms-to-be.....
I got pregnant the 1st month I tried. I used the ovulation sticks. I have long cycles and would have had no idea when I was ovulating without them.

Re: Question for moms-to-be.....
It takes the average couple 1 year to get pregnant. If you are over 35 after 6 months you should see your OB. I charted and got pregnant on Month 3..the 2nd month I was charting. I highly rec'd it.

i wasn't on any birth control and we got pg 1 week after our wedding. we were using 'pull and pray' and i guess we were just lucky to get pg so fast
edited to say: i really didn't think it would happen so fast ... i'm one of those 'prom night' stories my best friend talks about!
