Question for BTDT---Regarding dilating---
I know it's quite common to be dilated 1cm for some time, but.... I am not 2cm, can I stay here for some time too?? I was 1cm last Tues and 2cm (70% effaced) today.
Any thoughts? Or am I just getting my very-over-anxious-done-being-pregnant hopes up?

Yeah, unfortunately I thought that meant something but it doesn't. I was 2 cm and 80% effaced for several weeks.

on the flipside...I was 2cm ...tired as heck and I swore to the dr on a wed. that "this was it"...that sunday my water broke. I think you just know when the end is near. I could barely move the days before. How do you feel?

How do I feel...today...like C-R-A-P! My feet/ankles/calves/hands are so swollen it hurst to walk and write. I only worked 1/2 a day but feel so worn out. It's been progressively getting more uncomfortable in the past week.

I was stuck at 2 cm for 4 weeks (I SWORE I was having an early baby) and then we ended up inducing!!

I was 2 cm for 2 weeks. I think the effacement is a better gauge.
