Question? Does anyone else do all the research?

I know, I do all the research in almost every area except for home improvements and construction. I am very lucky in that area, but I plan everything!!!

Vacations, big purchases like TVs/Furniture/Cars/Mortgage/Insurance etc....

If we decide to move I will be doing the research, if we decide to buy life insurance, I do the research, if we go on vacation I do the research!

My DH doesn't even know he has an Roth IRA, he is self-employed and I set it up for him.

We are going away on vaca this Wednesday and needed passports to travel. I filled out his paperwork, told exactly where to go for a picture, to walk across the street to the post office, ask for Mary to send out the paperwork for the passport. He didn't even have to think.


I love my DH, but sometimes I just want to strangle him because all he thinks about is what he will be designing or building or painting. He lives for job, he loves his work. Which is good, but come on, I do get tired of listening about the latest thing he built.

I am really venting.... I think the wine is getting to me....

I do everything, the banking, all the cars are in my name, IRA, the apartment- I am doing ALL the Atlanta research for our move, I plan every vacation, the list goes on and on

I know exactly how you feel- and I am feeling the same way right now!

I do all the research/planning for everything! We would never go on vacation or even go out to dinner without me planning it.

You are most certainly not alone! If I waited for DH to pay the bills, they would be in collection. If I waited for him to plan the vacations, we would be staying home! I do all the research for everything and plan everything.

The mortgage is in my name, even though he pays it. I don't even think he knows he pays it!!!!


the lease is in my name on the apartment- he pays for it

the only thing he will do is our mortgage- since that what my DH does for a living

but I will have to pick the area and the house before he can do his part!

I am the one to plan EVERYTHING!

Not only in my marriage but in my family as well. With the family, I dont mind too much but in my marriage, it annoys the heck out of me. My dh tells me its because I wont like anything he plans or researches but hes never tried so how does he know??

I am on the internet most of my free time and its always to do research on one thing or another.

I definitely do a lot of things, pay bills, do the banking, and savings, stocks, 401K, etc. But when it comes to purchases like TV's, computers, cars, sump pumps - DH takes those on. He is a comparison shopper, will read reviews and what not. If that was left up to me, I would just buy what I like.

He does research on some stuff, but I do the majority.

but I am an analyst for a profession, its in my blood to research stuff. I dont mind doing it.

I do all of the research at well. I do all of the banking, bill paying, research into purchases, food shopping, etc. DH is not good at that stuff.

He is a good painter however, which does help.
