question about voting
I don't work near my voter location - am I allowed to come in late or leave early to vote?

I don't think so. I think polls in NY are open 6am - 9pm.

Most voting palces are open form 6Am -9pm, in order to accomodate most schedules, but I assume that if you work from 6-9PM your emplyer has to let you have time ot go vote. But I am not sure of the law.

You should move to Cali! If you can't get to your polling place before or after work you may have 2 hours paid time off to vote. You may vote before work or after.
