Has anyone had one during pregnancy?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and was experiencing extremely sharp pains on my left side and DH took me to the ER yesterday. They were unsure of what it was. It seems I have a small follicle on my left side but it was not concerning and my urine test came back and they think it might be a UTI.

My question is could a UTI cause sharp stabbing pain and vomiting? Unfortunately the ER doctor doesnt know what it was a felt the antibiotics would help to rule out a UTI.
