question about swaddling and pjs

Our baby is due in February and I'm not sure as to what the baby wears under the swaddle. Is it just a onesie or do you put your little one in pjs and then swaddle. I don't want the baby to be overly hot and uncomfortable.

I've started to buy some clothing for her and was curious. Hope this isn't a silly question. TIA

We have been putting the baby in regular pjs and swaddling her with a receiving blanket. It seems to keep her warm enough.

my girls are in pj's, then swaddled, then they have a swaddle pod around that because they kick out of all swaddles

Logan was born in January... he was in a gown (with a zipper and closed bottom) with a side snap undershirt and the swaddle wrap - he was more than fine.

Usually, we put her in cotton or fleece pjs and swaddle with a light receiving blanket. Sometimes we put a short or long ss onesie underneath the pjs if it's cold.

A few times we put her in only a onesie and swaddled (when it's warm).

She's always swaddled at night because she likes it.

I'd do lightweight pj's with a fleece swaddle or fleece pjs with a lightweight swaddle. I am very paranoid about over heating so I tried never to bundle too much at night.
