question about short term disability!
Does anyone know anything about the below?
New York State Disability Laws for Pregnancy
Pregnant women can apply for disability through NYSIF.
Disability benefits in New York are managed by the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF.) Pregnant women who reside in New York may be eligible for temporary disability benefits if they were employed during their pregnancy and became unable to perform their duties at work. Disability insurance is temporary and provides financial assistance to people who became disabled off the job. While people with illnesses and diseases that caused them to stop working are eligible for disability insurance, pregnant women who temporarily cannot perform work are also

question about short term disability!
What type of information are you looking for? Do you have an HR department, thats who I have to go through for my benefits. And its not much only $170 a week or something like that

I do not its a really small office only 3 to 5 employees.. does that mean Im not covered for it?

You should be covered under NYS disability, but like pp said, it isn't much money per week. Generally, disability covers you for 6 wks for vag delivery, 8 wks for c-sec. What other information are you looking for?

who do I talk to about it? my bosses? or I have to file something from the state?

NYS disability is offered to everyone I believe. Talk to your boss or HR or google NY State Disability office
