question about POS
Ok.....so has this ever happened to any of you ladies....
I POS'd on a no name brand stick I had left over from a previous month....got a positive....and OBVIOUS + but it didn't show up for 20 minutes or so.....
ofcourse I ran out to buy the digital, SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU, kind and have gotten nothing but BFN since....I am technically due for AF tomorrow....
so aggrivating!!!
Has this happened to anyone else where the digitals come up - but you are techinically +?

question about POS
What was the time limit for looking on the original test you took. If it says to look at the test in 5 minutes but you didn't see the + until 20 minutes had past, it's more than likely an evap line.

Re: question about POS
This is what I've learned along the way...
Never ever trust a test after 5 minutes. If it's negative at that five minute mark, consider it negative. Evap line and even lines with color can appear after the time frame from evaportation or oversaturation of the test stick.
I had a very very bright, thick positive line that appeared about 20 mins or 1/2 hour after i tested once...I immediately took another test (a FRER) that was definitely negative. After reading up on it I found that this happens quite often, mostly with blue dye tests but can happen with pink dye as well.
There is of course a chance you are pg. But consider that first test a negative for now.
Good luck!!!
-also...if there is HCG hormone present in urine (enough to register a positive) it WILL come up quickly after taking the test.

Re: question about POS
At 20 minutes, it was likely an evap line. You really have to read the test in 5 minutes - 10 at the longest.
