question about mylecon
how soon does your dc get relief? Do you usually put it in the bottle or just put the dropper in their mouth?
My ds has terrible gas sometimes...last nite it was pretty bad so i gave him the drops but he still seemed to be irritated from gas!

Re: question about mylecon
Its actually somewhat debated whether or not they actually do anything. My doctor told me not to bother using them. They don't do harm, but don't necessarily help. All babies have gas.

Re: question about mylecon
We found they helped a lot for a little while.
But what really helped was switching DS to Gentlease.

Re: question about mylecon
They didn't work for us..we stopped using them. We'd take DD & make bicycle motions w/ her legs to help push the gas out

Re: question about mylecon
They never worked with my nephews, who had horrible gas problems. When we used Little Tummy's, it seemed to work. Sometimes it would take two doses and they were like different children. HTH

Re: question about mylecon
My ped said if you give them too much it can make things worse. I only use it once in a while.

Re: question about mylecon
The first time I used on my DD it didnt work. Then after her screaming for a few hours b/c gas we decided ok lets try again. Withing an hour it worked. Now it seems instantly but give directly in mouth, but not sure if its the mylicon that worked or the fact that we lye her down on back and bring her knees to her chest and hold then stretch them straight out and repeat. When i bring knees to chest her toosh toots. Then her stomach is soft.
We try not to use mylicon too much, but we do use it and seems to help

Re: question about mylecon
Mylicon was great, we used to out it in every bottle. It worked like a charm. I stopped using it at around 6 months

Re: question about mylecon
My doctor actually said that if we use it we needed to put it in every bottle. Supposedly when they have it a bottle it is actually going to ease the next bottle not the one it's in. So if you do it every bottle then you are covered.

Re: question about mylecon
We got almost instant relief! We lived on the stuff but the best thing ever was to switch to Dr Brown's bottles!

my ped said the same thing. I still used them (put them in each bottle), but I don't think they really worked. I just did it in case they did give her some relief.
