question about landscapers

we want to use our neighbor's landscapers for a spring clean up, but when we call we get just a machine saying the number and leave a message.

is it normal to be a home number?

I looked the number up on google and it's a woman's name. Should I leave a message? I feel weird

Honestly, I think all these guys work out of their homes. Every landscaper I've ever had has given me his home number. I would just leave a message.

Yeah, most landscapers use their cell/home phone # so leave a message.

Count yourself lucky. My landlord got this guy Mike who would walk around the neighborhood pushing his rusty old lawnmower. He didn't even have a truck.

thanks everyone - I guess worse comes to worse and I leave a message on someone's machine and they delete it.

I know this business has a few trucks with their logos on it and everything - that's why I guess I thought they would have a business line
