Question about kids and car service to the airport
How does everyone travel to the airport when they have kids? We aren't renting a car so we weren't planning on bringing her car seat. Will the car service company have a car with a car seat?

Car services/cab companies can provide you with one. Obviously, you need to tell them ahead of time. The few times we've used one, I had to install it (which I was happy about). They are kinda gross, just fyi.

We brought our own car seat and my DH installed it in the Limo. The Limo Company kept the car seat for us in storage while we were on vacation and when they came to pick us back up at the airport, they had it with them.

Just a heads up, Most car services are pretty clear on the fact that they can request one for you, but there is no guarantee and since you don't need a car seat in a livery vehicle by law they can still take you without one. We have to travel alot with DD and sometimes we didn't need the car seat. My in-laws have seats in TX. You have a few options:
1. Risk asking for one via your car service and be prepared to ride without one if that situation arises. Another option is if you use the same car service for the return trip they will store it for you.
2. Take the car seat. You can gate or curb check it if you have a bag.
3. Drive your car and leave it in long term parking
4.Have someone drive your car and your family to the airport and bring your car home.
Honestly, I won't ride without DD in a seat so I usually just drive to the airport and suck up the difference between the car service and the parking (it usually isn't much). Or we just lug the seat with us.

You need to tell them ahead of time and they can provide a car seat. We had a car service pick us up and drop us off at the airport when we went to the Bahamas and thats what we did.

We just went through this...we usually get a ride from my parents, but couldnt this time. We ended up leaving our car at a lot and it was pretty easy. We used the Parking Spot. They have 25% off coupons. We had the car there for 7 days and it cost around $75. That is probably a lot less than a car service would cost both ways. HTH!

Same. They can hold on to your car seat, obviously it only works if you're booking car service round trip.

We recently did this and the service had a car seat we were able to sue. Was very convenient. Fm if you want the number of who we used.
