Question about how much to offer to pay a part time rotating sitter??

If you were hiring someone to watch your child (2-3 months old) for 6 hours a day for 1-2 days/week rotating, how much would you offer?

I am considering reducing my hours at work so we do not have to put DD in daycare and do not have to put DS in before/after school care (and save us ~$1200/mo). By doing this, we would have 1-2 days (rotating) per week that we have no one to watch DD.

Next question, how to find such person???

TIA

I would pay $15/hr.

I looked for part time care and found it difficult. Your best bet may be a nanny share but your rotating days make it even harder.

We were looking for part time care but ended up just hiring our nanny full time because we could not find what we wanted in PT care. I did not have a set schedule though and my meetings would vary from week to week. I couldn't find anyone to be "on call". It was all or maybe so we took all.
