Re: question...
If you are pregnant, you will not get AF.
If you only a couple of days before AF was due, changes are that you are not pregnant. The egg only lives a short time after ovulation, and the sperm usually have to be there to greet the egg.
There is no way to know exactly when to test if you do not know how long your cycles are and when you've ovulated ... but if you think AF is late, you can take a test at any time.
There are books like Taking Charge of your Fertility and websites like http://www.fertilityfriend.com that are very informative and helpful to figuring out the whole TTC process.

Re: question...
Okay darlin'... slow down a sec here. Are your cycles regular? Do you know how long they are? I'm no expert (and I'm a bit rusty) but I do not think that if you BD'd in the last few days with AF due this Wednesday (the 21st) that you will be pregnant. Did you happen to BD 2 weeks ago???
But to answer your questions... you will typically NOT get AF if you are pregnant, although some women do bleed/spot. If you have a typically regular or normal cycle, ideally you would BD 2 weeks before AF is due (or every other day between CD 10-20).
GL to you!
