Question - Returning Tights?
Question for you all –
I went to Kohl’s yesterday and got 5 pairs of tights (4 Simply Vera and 1 Apt 9) with a store credit I had. I went to put on the Apt 9 pair this morning, which was sized for 135-165lbs and 5’4” – 5’11” ish (I am 5’4+” and ~150 lbs for reference) and they were way too small. I inadvertently tore them a little trying to put them on because they were so small (as in too short to even cover my legs, not too tight). I pulled them off and put on one of the Simply Vera pairs which fit fine and went to work. I just noticed when I went to the bathroom that these tights have a run on the thigh. I have been wearing them for 4 hours and have only gone to the bathroom once (so I haven’t really been adjusting them or anything). I’m wearing a wrap dress with a slip underneath, so it’s not like I even have any zippers or anything that could have pulled them.
Here’s the question – should I try to return/exchange them? I really like the pattern on the Apt 9 pair and I suspect the Large (one size up) would fit me. I really like this pair too, but I wouldn’t want the same thing to happen. Or should I just write it off as $$ down the drain. I know they can’t sell them again b/c they’re both torn, but I’m pretty annoyed and I know Kohl’s will take most things back. Thoughts? TIA

Re: Question - Returning Tights?
Kohls is great about taking back anything - just tell them it was too small and they are damaged.

Re: Question - Returning Tights?
UPDATE: So frustrated. Wearing the third pair today and the knee tore from grazing the zipper of my boot. Now I’m stuck in them all day. I have 3 pair of tights from Kohl’s that I bought last year that are still in great condition….what gives??
ETA: I really want to take them all back but I feel like it's such a red flag at this point. Argh.

Re: Question - Returning Tights?
If you didn't like them why did you continue to wear more pairs of them? I would just return the pairs you didn't wear...

Just take them all back, they won't question it. Kohl's is awesome.

Re: Question - Returning Tights?
A lot of the quality at Kohls has turned to sh*t lately. I used to love them and have been so unahppy with everything I buy lately!!

Well, I had 3 pair from Kohl's last year and they have held up great. I was hoping it was just a fluke with those particular pairs
I'm going to return them today.

Re: Question - Returning Tights?
Once you return them, you can try tights from Target and H&M. I also like Cushy Foots tights.
