Q about prune juice and stool softener
How often do you take stool softener and how often do you drink prune juice?
Is it safe to take the stool softener everyday and/or drink prune juice everyday?

I don't take either at this point. After the deliveries of my other children, I drank 4oz of the prune juice once a day until my stitches healed and I felt more "comfortable".
I think you should try the prune juice and/or regular prunes and see how you feel. If you still need a stool softener, then I'd introduce it then instead of trying both at once.

thank you, I haven't done both the same day, 2 days ago I drank prune juice, then last night I took a stool softener.
From what I remember when I was pregnant with my first it's ok to drink 1/2 cup of prune juice every day and I think I was told to take stool softener only as needed , not every day.
I will ask my OB tomorrow.

Colace- one pill three times a day.
I've taken Plum Juice too- same stuff as Prune juice but tastes better!
