Buy or get one through insurance? What did you all do?
Insurance covers the double electric, but I read that it's better to buy new to avoid bacteria build up from previous users. But if I buy new parts and use the machine is that ok? Also this is our first baby, we plan on having at least one more, so is it worth it to buy?
Just looking for everyone's opinion! Thanks!

I am getting mine through insurance. The ones they give you are brand new so you do not need to worry about buying replacement parts. You get a new one with each child.

Oh that's great news!!! I thought they were used!! I'm definitely going through insurance now!!!
When do they want you to return it? Or can I keep it?
Thank you so much!

It's to keep!
I called my insurance company who gave me the companies they use. I called each one to find out which pumps they covered, did my research, then called and ordered. It arrived in 3 days. Easy peasy and didn't cost me a penny OOP.

Call your insurance company and they will tell you which companies they work with. Call the company, pick your pump and it's yours (sometimes you need to wait til after the baby is born to get the pump). No need to return it or anything

I'm getting a top of the line medala pump through my insurance covered 100%. To be honest I had NO clue. I was at Buy Buy Baby Monday and I said let me just get it now and the salesperson asked me if I checked with my insurance first. I said no but I doubt it. So she suggested I take a seat and call them right then and there... Lol. So I did and 15 minutes later I had the exact $500 one that was in the store being shipped to be this week for free completely 100% covered. Accessories too!

Mine's covered by insurance too - they told me to call 30 days within my due date and they would ship it within a few days. Woo! I was surprised by it also.
