pump and dump ?
dh and i will be going out friday night i plan on having a few drinks
DD is just starting to take a bottle and i'm also bfing....
do i have to pump and dump or how much time do i need inbetween drinking and bfing?

I think the rule of thuimb is 2 hours after you drink, you can BF but I am not 100% sure

I would P & D the first pumping, and poss the 2nd one depending on how often you are BF'ing.

2 hours per drink. You only need to pump and dump if you are engorged, otherwise you can feed after the two hours is up.

If I had a buzz when I needed to feed or pump, I'd dump it. If I had 1 drink I'd usually be fine and not dump.
Or if I drank heavily all night I'd dump all BM including the first batch in the morning.

You do not need to dump, once alcohol leaves your blood it isn't in your milk. Just don't feed if you are feeling the effects of alcohol

this is what i was told as well.
i guess if i had 3 or 4 drinks and needed to pump i might dump it, but i usually don't get that engorged b/c i don't EBF. i can go 8 hours or so without BFing.
