PSA-If you have any credit card debt, check out Maxed Out?
Anyway, we watched it over the weekend and while I'm not so sure how much is fabricated, all I can say is WOW. I can't wait to send a big Eff U to MBNA and cancel my cards completely (well, keep one for emergencies but cut them up!). Hopefully this summer.
But these companies are truly criminal! This one woman went to cosign a loan for her brother and the credit companies had her as deceased and she had to go to EIGHT hearings to clean up the mistake.

My goal is to cut my debt by a good 70% by the end of this year.
These credit card companies are money hungry greedy son of a *******.

if you want to get rid of your cc debt, DO IT!!!!
i did it in 2008, and my life is much better for doing it. i also sleep a lot better

me too!!!!! I am at about 35% now - and on target to be at 50% by May of this year
I curse the day I got a credit card when I was 18 in college with no job....but I was the perfect mark...I don't even want to know how much I have paid in interest since then- but once everything is paid off- I will never use a credit card again!!!!!!
I realized recently why I am always short on cash now and that's b/c I don't use credit cards and I use my debit card- it's def an adjustment - esp being self employed on top of it- but it will be worth it to sleep better at night for sure!
