PSA for hot days like today.
My friends baby received a 2nd degree burn on her foot today. She was walking outside and stepped on the metal frame to their sliding glass doors. I NEVER would have thought this would happen from that. Please watch your little ones and even yourselves!!

Yes they are. Also watch out for the rubber mats they use at some playgrounds. They can cause burns as well. Treated my fair share when I was a medic...They got hot very fast..

watch out for the slides too...saw a horrible video on a little girl that's hands and legs were burned terribly from a slide at a park. We were at a park the following day and I couldn't believe how hot the slide was. I constantly check them now when we out playing!

on no!!
When I was about 12 I got 3rd degree burns on the bottom of my feet from walking barefoot all day at Action Park.  We left for Disney 3 days later and I was in a wheelchair!
I stil lhave scars/calluses on my feet. 3 on each foot. I always wear flip flops now!

oh my god, that poor foot!!
thank god we dont have metal or sliding doors. but the ground in our backyard gets soo hot.
