Here are sites I found regarding pruning. Late Winter to Early Spring. Or not at all. I think it has a lot to do with each states climates and how bad our winters are really. It seems you don't have to prune this tree/shrub if you don't want to. You can just prune lightly if it's growing to big for the area or in your way. They seem really hardy from what I have been reading. HTH! Chat Icon
