Proofreading

Before you post to a thread - do you proofread to make sure that you spelled correctly, etc?

Same here. And I can pretty much guarantee the ones I don't double check are the ones that get quoted. Chat Icon

Re: Proofreading

I try to.

I've become a lot more anal about proper grammar/spelling, etc. since preparing my students for the writing test.

Re: Proofreading

I usually check - I probably have some spelling errors.
I just noticed that there are some posts - that I lose track of what the person is writing due to them writing it so fast or something

Re: Proofreading

I always try to, but sometimes I miss words that I've misspelled. When I remember, I use the spellcheck function.

Re: Proofreading

I try to.
After it posts, I usually read through it too. If there is a misspelling in the title I will fix it...but if there is a misspelling in the text and I can still figure out the word then I just keep moving.
There are three posters that have typos SOOO bad (and atrocious punctuation) that I usually can't get through the post at all.
