I'm trying to figure out how to transition out of higher ed (too few jobs I want and pay is the pits) and I was thinking about the tech industry since there are a lot of jobs near my city (I'm in North Carolina). I'm definitely not a coder (I've tried a bit over the years and my brain just doesn't process that way), but I can pick up computer systems as a user pretty quickly.

Someone suggested becoming a Program Manager. If you're one - can you run down a typical day or any other advice on the job? What kind of certification would you recommend so that I look more marketable?
