progesterone questions
Hi Ladies,
I hope you don't mind me crashing with a few questions.
I am starting progesterone suppositories this cycle. I was pregnant over the summer and was on oral progesterone. Has anyone else been on both, and if so, were the side effects the same on both? I was pretty lucky with the Prometrium, no major side effects...but I am wondering what's in store when I start the suppositories.
Also, was/is anyone on progesterone for short LP? If so, what was your LP to begin with, and what happened after you started progesterone?
Last, I have heard that the suppositories are super gross...true?
Any answers or additional info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Good luck to all of you

Re: progesterone questions
The only side effects I had with progesterone is bloating. Also sometimes you feel pregnant when it is just the progesterone playing mind games on you.
I had a short LP (shortest was about 7 days but I am not sure what it was consistently). You should not get a full blown period until you stop taking the progesterone about 14 days post-ovulation. I did however have two months where I spotted before the 14 days and after a negative blood test I was told to discontinue the progesterone to get my period.
It's really not a big deal just kind of a pain to have to take. Make sure you wear panty liners because it does get messy but it's bearable and for a good reason
