Progesterone
I am asking a question for a friend, and since I did IVF and I was on progesterone injections, I couldn't answer this question. When you had your first OB appt to date the pregnancy, did the doctor take blood and measure your progesterone level?

You mean for a regular OB patient? I never had a beta or prog checked, no reason to for me.

Yes, as an OB patient. I know that doctors sometimes check HCG levels, but I wasn't sure if progesterone was checked, even if there was no reason for concern.

My OB checked.
I had a prev mc and she monitored my progesterone . Lucky she did cause i wound up needing supps.

Same here, but in the practice I go to they draw the progesterone at the 1st appointment blood work. I had mine and an hcg done early as well as an u/s due to a previous m/c.

my practice does not test prog. as a standard.
I ended up going in because I had cramping, and they tested prog as a precaution, and I ended up being on the low side at 5.5 weeks (I think I was 9.8) That lead to a lot of nervousness on my part. It has not been a stress free journey for me. In hindsight - I dont think I needed the prog. but I took it anyway becasue I was scared.

Yes, I conceived my DD naturally and they checked beta and Progesterone.

When you have your blood work drawn as an OB patient they do a Q&P (quantitative HCG and Progesterone levels)... HTH.
