Progesterone

Hi ladies:) I am in the middle of my 2ww after my second IUI attempt...this time with injectables. I went to RE this morning for bloodwork and got a message that my progesterone was "a little low" and that I needed to start progesterone suppositories tonight. I am wondering if this is common? Also...if any one has usedthese before any advice about when to use them...was just googling away and reading about how messy this is ...did you wake up early and insert before your shower?? Thanks in advance for any advice...hoping beyond hopes that I get a BFP this cycle but feeling deflated with this phone call...such a roller coaster.

Re: Progesterone

i havent had the low prog issue but i have been using crinone gel for about 7 weeks now.

yes its sort of gross- but better than any progesterone in oil shots!

you will need a liner every day, for sure.

Re: Progesterone

I am currently using suppositories 3x a day Chat Icon Yes it is gross, I am not even going to lie to you. The first couple of days I had discharge, then I didn't have and was kind of worried. So I called the nurse and she suggested I moisten the pill under tap water, it helps it dissolve and "stick". Apparently it has been working so well, that I have moved on from pantyliner to an actual pad. Sorry TMI Chat Icon

PS: I agree with PP, I would rather the mess down there than PIO. GL!

I use them before I go to bed. Then make sure you wear a pantyliner the next day they are messy.

Re: Progesterone

Im also in the 2WW after my second IUI.. my progesterone was low both times so this is my second round of the suppositories. I feel like some days they are more gross and annoying then others. I take them twice a day. At night, its fine because after I use it, Im laying down so I dont have that much discharge. In the morning, I insert it right after my shower and wear a panty liner.
Good luck!
