professional movers
Do you think there is any real risk of getting bedbugs from a professional moving company? The truck? The blankets they use to cover furniture?
Anyone else who moved worry about this? Is there anything I can do to protect myself and my stuff?

There is a risk almost anywhere right now. I would not think that a moving company's risk would be terrible but you have a point about the blankets.

I would bring up the concern with them. Ask what they are doing to clean trucks, moving pads, etc. to insure that you don't have any problems. You may want to also protect things better - line boxes with trash bags before packing, put matress covers on matresses, etc.

We were thinking of this. Uhaul sells a cover for mattresses just for this purpose alone. I'll be getting one just to be on the safe side
