Princess party help please!

Alex asked for a princess birthday party so I have to do it... already sent out the princess invitations and invited the kids to show up in their cutest prince and princess outfits.

I also picked up some crafts from Michael's - for the girls, make your own tiara's, for the boys, make your own mask.

Any other ideas on how to pull off the perfect at-home princess party??? Help, PLEASE!!

Re: Princess party help please!

How about a game of "pin the tiara on the princess" instead of pin the tail on the donkey????

ETA: Buy some white Christmas lights and maybe some sheer pink or purple netting to hang from the ceiling, it'll give the room a 'magical' feel!

Oh and can you decorate Alex's chair with like gold garland and fake jewels from the dollar store, that can be her throne???

Re: Princess party help please!

Get her favorite chair and cover with princess/glitery/sequins/etc.. fabric.

Get a small round canopy net that you hang from the ceiling above the chair. That would be the princess thrown. Chat Icon

Re: Princess party help please!

I would use some of these to make the party very princessy.

You can do some cool trinkets as well.

Make sure you get some very nice Princess Wall Decorations.

Spread alot of helium balloons all over the ceiling. Put jewelry, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and all sorts of other royal gifts inside the balloons so that later when the kids pop them they'll find lots of surprises.

On the day of the princess birthday party, you can buy fresh flowers and place them in vases around the house. And, transform your dining room chairs into thrones by taping gold and silver poster board onto them.

I would use alot of Lavender, Pink, Purple, Blue and Silver Colors.

From the ceiling you can hang glittery stars from curly ribbons and colorful streamers.

Last but not least I would make sure I get a NICE Custom Made Princess cake for DD to be on display. You want her birthday cake to stand out. You can decorate the cake table with flower petals.

When the guests are arriving you throw sparkle glitters.

I would decorate a chair very princessy so that it will be the princess throne.

Start searching for the perfect princess party dress. You want Alex to stand out as the Princess.

Re: Princess party help please!

Beth, here are more ideas..

When the Princess Party Begins...
Upon arrival escort the guests to a princess make-over table,
where they will receive a small amount of lipstick, blush and eye
shadow and of course...glitter! If you have not already suggested
the girls wear their favorite dress-up dress...provide a box of special
dress up clothes and a mirror.

Buy materials for a princess sash for each girl.

These are the kind beauty pageant winners have. They're nothing more than wide ribbon, glue and glitter or paint. You can staple or safety pin the sash together.

Put up a custom made Pink Princess Banner over the entranceway.

You can use these as favor bags
