Primacare One
Does anyone else take these Prenatals. I started them this weekend but I was reading the contents and besides for the Folic Acid and Fatty Acids, I felt like my multi vitamin contains more vitamins. Does anyone else still take extra vitamins with it? I didnt know whether I should or not. What really is the best Prenatal Vitamins? I believe these have the DHA which I hear is very important!

Re: Primacare One
From what I understand, all of the prenatals are basically the same. Some have a stool softener in them as well whereas others do not. I take Natelle EZ and Expecta [DHA]. I would not take anything else other than the prenatal that you are taking if it does include the DHA. You need that extra Folic Acid- that is most important about prenatals- and you do not find that level in regular multi-vitamins.

Re: Primacare One
I take them. I've been on them for a while. They don't upset my stomach at all and I haven't had any problems w/ them.

I don't take these vitamins, but I don't think you should be taking a multi along with the prenatals.

You don't want to wind up taking too much of anything, you should ask your doctor or your pharmacist about it.

I take Primacare One- I've been taking them since I got pg with DD, and have taken them all along until I got pg with this one (I am also BFing). I like them and have never had a problem with them.

Re: Primacare One
I don't take those-- I am just using OTC vitamins. I too was taking a multi with a folic acid supplement prior to seeing my gyno, when she told me to switch to pre-natals. The multi has so much more in it, but I think there are some vitamins you should be avoiding when TTC. I posted a similar question on here a couple months ago.
