Pretty sure I'm out...
AF is due today, and I can feel it coming.
DH and I talked - since the whole every other day thing didn't work, we don't see the point of doing this every month without being successful, so we are going to go back to the "do it whenever approach."
It may take longer to get there, but honestly, the timed approach for 2 months didn't get us there any quicker, so....
I'll still be on here, but I really can't go through the stress of knowing if we did in on the right day, right time, and could this twinge be something or not. It just doesn't fit into my head
and, I already committed myself to the possibility that, at my age, it just might not happen. It makes me so aware that DC 1, who wasn't even planned, is all that more of a miracle in my life.

Re: Pretty sure I'm out...
I totally get where you are coming from... it's frustrating when you do everything right and nothing comes of it.
But I'd give it ONE MORE try! It's totally normal for it to take 3 or more months of doing everything perfectly before getting pregnant... 3rd time could be a charm
Sometimes I feel like once we are in "TTC" mode... we'll always in the back of our minds be thinking of what CD we're on.. KWIM?
In any case... best of luck to you! I hope that you get your second blessing!

I know the down and out feeling-and I love how you are so blessed by your DC, but don't get yourself down! Every cycle-there is a 25% chance of conception. You are not doing anything wrong!

Re: Pretty sure I'm out...
I can see where it can be frustrating. Since kind of starting things I notice everything and drive myself nuts! How many people get a BFP by mistake!? Hang in there. I'm sure once it all happens it's worth all the stress....But like i said I'm just getting started and can see where it gets totally frustrating!!!

Re: Pretty sure I'm out...
So sorry you are feeling this way and I feel like I can relate. THis is only my first month of TTC and I already don't like how I am feeling and acting. I was upset last night bc I feel AF coming on and my DH tried to remind me that we went into this with the understanding that it was not going to happen right away and we were just going to enjoy this time in our lives. He said all of a sudden I am talking about when we have to BD and cycle days.... and I have to admit he is right. There are times I wish I never even knew about O times and 2ww's, lol. Next month I think I am going to try to not look at mymonthlycycle and all that. Not sure if that is really going to happen, lol. I wish you all the luck!!

The funny thing is, I thought I was easy-going about it, but he said the same thing - that I was getting a little regimented about it - so we decided that we would work within the "window" but not focus on specific days.

You gotta do what is best for you and your DH and what you both agree on! Hopefully you'll get lucky if you go back to the "whatever" mode---and if not--you can always go back to tracking things.
Good luck!

I think that is a good plan. I think we will end up doing the same. I just did not like feeling of the timing and then waiting to test, lol. It can make you MAD!!!

Re: Pretty sure I'm out...
This is my third month TTC and I took a break from tracking my cycle too. I had an idea of when I usually O and we just BD'd a little more that week. My DH said that he was kind of sick of me always talking about "Ovulation".
Also...this is a little TMI..but I knew I was getting a little obsessed. One night last month we were BD'ing..and by mistake he "you know" when I wasn't in a TTC position. I screamed at him "WHAT A F'ING WASTE!" That was kind of rock bottom.

Is it bad that this made me laugh a little?

Re: Pretty sure I'm out...
I'm sorry & I know you are down. You do what is best for both you and DH. We also have decided to put down the O sticks this month and have fun with it because I feel like last month the romance was out of it and it was really like we were strictly only having sex for baby purposes KWIM?
I can't say that it won't be in the back of my head of when I'll be ovulating (or am I ovulating??!) b/c I know it will be but I need to do this for myself so I don't make having sex sort of a chore, (for lack of a better word).
