Prenatals and constipation?
Sorry if it's TMI. But, I have been so constipated since I have been taking prenatals. Anyone else? What are you doing to alleviate this...it's so annoying and it actually hurts.

My prenatals were making me constipated, which is bad b/c I already had issues with constipation.
I drink apple juice every morning & try to make sure I eat enough fiber. The Dr OKed me to take colace while PG, but I am not sure if it is OK while TTC.

def up your water, fiber and fruit intake, try to limit white carbs and eat whole grains.
Add fiber slowly to your diet though, it could make you gassy.
Colace should be ok to take while TTC, i have been on it since May of last year for other issues, and i BF for 4 months and conceived another baby.
I also take benefiber, it's much easier than eating fiber, it's tasteless, and disolves easily in everything.

I have been taking iron pills due to anemia and this is what works for me, better than Colace: buy pure canned pumpkin (must say 100% pure pumpkin) and eat a few teaspoons of it. It is very high in fiber. If it does not work, try a larger amount.

OMG! I was just complaining to my friend about this...I Was going to call my doctor, but may try the pumpkin thing...I feel like I haven't gone for days!!!
