Prenatal Vitamin Question
I went to my OB/GYN this week and he prescribed Neevo DHA for me to start taking now so I can TTC in May/June ....
My question is ... has anyone else here taken this pill? I read the website and it sounds intense

Re: Prenatal Vitamin Question
I asked my dr if I could take OTC ones ... He made a face and said to take this one instead ... I had to mail away for them because he gave me a 3 month supply and 5 refills lol

Re: Prenatal Vitamin Question
i never heard of this specific one...however my gyn gave me a prescription for one and i mailed it away...my insurace co sent it back saying they arent covered so i went and got otc onee. I still havent told my gyn that I am not taking the prescription...i figure when i do get a bpf ill call her and see what she says. My did end up telling my regular general practice doctor (just bc i had an appt with her since that happened) and she said all you really need is 1000mg of folic acid and an increase in iron (i dont recall the amount)...so she said otc ones are fine. i take the CVS brand with DHA supplement and have had no problems. I have a friend who is having her 2nd child in March who took the same OTC prental for both pregnancies and everything turned out fine. ive also heard the presrciptions are very $$$ i get the cvs when they go on sale for buy one get one half off - cant beat it!

Re: Prenatal Vitamin Question
He told me they should be covered ... That was my first question for him ... I will take the next step if they don't cover them

Re: Prenatal Vitamin Question
My doc just told me to start taking a vitamin with at least 400 mg of folic acid for now.

Re: Prenatal Vitamin Question
I take prescription prenatals called Nexa Select. I love them and haven't had any problems except minor stomach upset. I haven't heard of the brand you asked about though, try researching it online
