PreNatal Vent w/ Q.
So I've been taking Flinstones Complete MultiVitamin since I found out I was prego. After my last appointment las week (at 15 weeks) my doc said that I should start taking a real prenatal since the baby is getting bigger. So she prescribed me this chewable red/magenta prenatal. I took one bite yesterday and had a gag-fest! It was so hard getting half of the pill down!! So, I'm slightly angry that she would suggest such a horrible tasting thing to me
So, I know I've heard you guys say that there are some smaller, swallable prenatals out there. Can anyone recommend any? I have such a hard time with dayquil sized pills so anything like the size of advil or motrin would be nice Thanks!

I dont have any recommendations but I just wanted to say that this pregnancy I havent been taking any prenatals, just extra folic acid because of my morning/all day sickness (I am 20 weeks and still get sick)... my doctor is ok with me not taking vitamin if it makes me sick...

I was prescribed a chewable one that tasted like berry-but the dha was in a swallow type pill which was orange flavor(which was a large size). it was a litle pricy so i went to a diff pill they are big too. so cant help you I can only think of asking your dr for samples.

I switched from tabs to the gel-capped ones and it makes a big difference for me (easier to swallow). I take it with a big swig of milk.
The percentages of everything that is in the pre-natals are much higher than regular vitamins & my doc seemed to really recommend DHA as I don't eat fish 2-3 times a week.

Re: PreNatal Vent w/ Q.
i just use a generic store brand prenatal...its small and coated. and i take a dha supplement (omega 3-6-9).
i brought it to my dr and she ok'd it. i think the most imp thing is that it has the recommended dosage of folic acid.
u can prolly find the recommended dosages for preg women online or something and then find vitamins that u like and just have your dr ok them.
in one of the preggo magazines - i saw an add for a prenatal vitamin drink...maybe that would work for you

Target prenatals are a pretty small size, about the size of a tylenol. My OB is fine with me taking them.
